Uses
Rimadyl is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.
Possible Side Effects
Contact your veterinarian if your pet is experiencing bloody， black or tarry stools as this could be an indication of a more serious problem.
Drug & Food Interactions
If your pet is being given aspirin or another NSAID or any an over-the-counter cough， allergy， or pain medication， or any steroid drug， be sure to discuss the possible interactions with your veterinarian. Other drugs not listed may also cause reactions. Discuss all prescribed and over-the-counter medications your pet is taking with your vet.
Precautions
Before taking Rimadyl， discuss with your veterinarian if your pet has an allergy to aspirin， any other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID)， or is lactating or pregnant. Your veterinarian should also be notified if your dog has an ulcer or bleeding in the stomach， liver or kidney disease， congestive heart failure， fluid retention， bleeding disorders， heart disease， or high blood pressure.
